In March 2024, the Food Includes team gathered in Szczecin, Poland, to kick off an exciting new project. Hosted by our Polish partners, Career Plus, the meeting brought together participants from various countries. Our Irish partners, First Rung Life Skills and Bia Innovator Campus, joined forces with the Universities Continuing Education Network and the European E-Learning Institute, which span across Europe. We also welcomed our Spanish partner, Centro Deformacion De Administracion y Hosteleria. Additionally, online we were joined by our German partner, Johannes Gutenberg-Universitat Mainz, and Spanish partner, Fundacio Solidaritat UB.
During the meeting, we discussed the project's motivation, origins, and objectives. We developed a detailed roadmap for our first work package: the Food Includes Seeking Pedagogies Starter Kit. The event featured special food, including a typical Ukrainian cake, and included a visit to Mi-Gracja, a local Ukrainian support centre. The meeting was a great success, and all partners left feeling enthusiastic and ready to embark on this exciting project.
